Doggy Day Camp will be coming to a close for the fall and winter seasons with every intention to open again for the Spring and Summer.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
Malibu Coast Pet Retreat’s Doggy Day Camp is safe, off-leash, supervised at all times, and most importantly - fun! With our three outdoor, covered, and secure yards with artificial grass and a fire hydrant sprinkler, your pooch will have plenty of room to run, play, and make new friends!
Our attendants use positive reinforcement training methods to manage group play, helping reduce stress, reinforcing valuable behaviors, and creating a positive experience. Our smaller playgroups also allow our attendants to maintain the highest standard of care for each individual dog. Doggy Day Camp is a safe and supervised outlet for healthy dog-dog socialization, which is especially valuable for building confidence in younger dogs, as well as providing mental stimulation and an energy-burning outlet for those that love to run and play!
Pets need to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to being admitted to Doggy Day Camp for Rabies, DHPPV, Bordetella & the complete series (2 vaccines) of Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza.
Pets must be neutered or spayed if 6 months or older.
Only pets over 5 months of age and who are fully vaccinated can attend Doggy Day Camp.
Health limitations or restrictions may prevent your pet from attending the Doggy Day Camp. These include, but are not limited to blindness, lameness, and prior orthopedic surgeries.
Dog owners are required to complete our Doggy Day Camp Questionnaire (provided upon initial inquiry) and schedule a Playgroup Behavior Evaluation prior to attending Doggy Day Camp. A Playgroup Behavior Evaluation is a process for when a dog attends a half-day at our facility so we can better understand their suitability for dog socialization in a group setting. Ultimately, this helps us to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment and experience for all dogs!
